Animoto makes simple marketing videos from templates. Canva does that plus graphics, presentations, social posts, and basically everything visual. Unless you specifically need Animoto's video templates, Canva subsumes it entirely.

Canva wins this one easily. It does everything Animoto does (video from templates) plus graphics, presentations, social posts, brand kits, and AI features. Animoto feels like a 2015 product that hasn't kept up. Unless you're already locked into Animoto workflows, switch to Canva.
